The Moen M3-A standard capacity glue tank is a standard feature on Moen equipment (Extended Capacity Hot Melt Glue Tank is standard on models PF129-B & PF129-TFB). It is specifically designed for the high, instantaneous use of glue required by Bliss box applications.  The proven system utilizes a single acting pneumatic pump which eliminates "winks" in the glue bead during pump reversal.

In addition to providing the same features as our standard capacity M3-A
model, the extended capacity tank holds up to 30 lbs. of adhesive and melts up to 50 lbs. per hour. This 50% increase in tank size is more forgiving when an operator fails to fill the glue tank and offers a 25% increase in melt rate.

Featuring .039 nozzle orifices (compared to .015 of
other manufacturers), Moen Hot Melt Glue Guns are
capable of passing bits of char and debris that can clog
a smaller nozzle.  These contact style guns use a low
fluid pressure to help control adhesive "stringing."  High
quality glue hoses are manufactured to our demanding
specifications.

Designed to complement the M3-A Hot Melt Unit, the High Capacity
Glue Hopper allows "fill it and forget it" operator convenience.

The following hot melt glue characteristics should be present when selecting an adhesive
for your Moen Former, Sealer or Lidder:

• Viscosity of 1,000 - 1,200 CPS at 350 degrees F
• High heat resistance (re-melt temp. approximately 220º F+)
• Good cold resistance if product is refrigerated
• Tenacious pot life - glue resistant to charring
• Good machinability (minimal stringing, good thermal stability, low odor, no "slinging")
• Fast open time - one to two seconds
• Good hot tack qualities
• Handles difficult substrates (i.e. recycled liners)
• Free flowing, non-clumping chips ("Dusting" will not prevent clumping)
• Pillow, chicklet or pastiles (button shaped chips)
• Chip size 1-1/2" or less. Most major suppliers of hot melt adhesives (H.B. Fuller, Swift,
National Starch, ASI, Industrial Adhesives, API, Bostik, etc.) have a number of products
that will comply with these specifications.
